Workplace safety is an essential goal of our operations. Via progressive safety policies, continued investment in new and more ergonomically designed equipment, and the pro-active use of employee ideas for safety improvement, Hood Packaging Corporation has achieved safety performance records that are significantly better than packaging industry averages.

Providing a clean, well lit, safe and productive environment to work in is another Hood Packaging Corporation objective. We use company wide safety and housekeeping audits to assure that all our operations, no matter where located, conform to a consistently high standard. Additionally, many of our locations boast certification under the exacting food sanitation standards of the American Institute of Baking (AIB).

Progressive human resources policies underline our commitment to the people dimension of sustainability. Health, disability, paid vacation, retirement programs, and insurance benefits are provided at all Hood Packaging locations. Many locations offer such additional benefits as dental and employee wellness programs. The company provides tuition reimbursement for qualified employees who wish to enhance skills, as well as a competitive college tuition scholarship program for the children of qualified employees. Awards are provided to Hood personnel for each five years of service.
